Transforming Vizrt’s go-to-market approach: From gap analysis to accelerated vertical growth.
Vizrt, a global leader in broadcast technology solutions, needed to accelerate growth by expanding beyond their traditional sports broadcasting stronghold into new vertical markets. With significant opportunities arising from cloud technology adoption and new market demands, Vizrt required a comprehensive transformation of their sales and marketing functions to capitalise on these opportunities while maintaining their market-leading position in sports.
Our Role
Magnus, in full partnership with SBR, led a two-phase transformation beginning with a comprehensive commercial gap analysis that analysed marketing and sales maturity across the 5 Ps (planning, process, people, platforms and performance). Through extensive stakeholder interviews, call shadowing, and data analysis, we validated existing assessments and identified critical growth opportunities. This led to the second phase, where Magnus developed detailed go-to-market strategies for three key verticals – Sports, Corporate, and Education. We conducted market sizing, competitive analysis, and developed distinct value propositions for each vertical, ensuring Vizrt could effectively expand whilst leveraging their core strengths.

The Impact
The gap analysis delivered a prioritised transformation roadmap with clear implementation sprints and quick wins. With the refined go-to-market approaches we shifted Vizrt’s messaging from focusing on functional benefits and product to instead prioritising value and transformative messaging across each vertical. This transformed Vizrt from single-vertical focus to a multi-vertical growth engine, whilst modernising their sales and marketing capabilities to support expansion.
