The opportunity

We are looking for a practical, hands-on Fractional HubSpot & Marketing Operations Specialist to support and strengthen our marketing operations infrastructure.

This is not a broad demand generation or brand strategy role. Commercial strategy, positioning, client relationships, and growth direction are already led internally by Magnus partners and our Principal Consultant.

We are specifically looking for a specialist who can help us improve the operational effectiveness of our marketing systems, reporting, automation, and campaign workflows - ensuring our HubSpot environment is clean, efficient, measurable, and properly maintained.

Core areas of responsibility

HubSpot Administration & CRM Operations

  • Maintain overall HubSpot data hygiene and CRM integrity
  • Manage lifecycle stages, lead routing, segmentation and contact management
  • Build, maintain and optimise workflows and automations
  • Support campaign setup, tracking and reporting
  • Manage forms, lists, dashboards and reporting views
  • Ensure attribution and source tracking are functioning correctly
  • Support marketing and commercial process alignment where required

Marketing Operations & Automation

  • Support end-to-end campaign operational setup
  • Maintain email automation and nurture workflows
  • Support newsletter builds and distribution via HubSpot
  • Manage campaign tagging and tracking governance
  • Improve operational consistency and reduce manual administration
  • Identify opportunities for workflow simplification and automation

Reporting & Analytics

  • Maintain and improve HubSpot reporting dashboards
  • Support GA4 reporting and traffic analysis
  • Monitor campaign performance and conversion tracking
  • Provide monthly reporting and operational insights
  • Improve visibility across marketing activity and performance trends
  • Help establish clearer reporting discipline and measurement consistency

  • Campaign tracking and attribution
  • Working independently within fast-paced environments

Experience supporting consultancies, professional services firms, or B2B organisations would be advantageous.

Important context

This role is intentionally operational rather than strategic. The successful partner will not be expected to own commercial strategy, lead brand positioning, drive business development, own pipeline targets, create overarching campaign strategy, or lead content direction. Those areas are owned internally by Magnus leadership and consulting teams.

This role is focused on ensuring the systems, workflows, reporting, and operational infrastructure behind marketing activity run effectively and efficiently.

Engagement structure

We anticipate a flexible fractional arrangement equivalent to approximately 8–10 hours per week initially. We are open to discussing hourly support models, monthly retainers, flexible operational support arrangements, and ongoing optimisation partnerships.

Early priorities are likely to include HubSpot audit and optimisation, workflow cleanup and automation improvements, reporting dashboard refinement, lifecycle and attribution review, GA4 reporting alignment, CRM hygiene improvements, and campaign tracking consistency.
