Five acquisitions. One brand.
Magnus partnered with atombit, an AI-native consultancy built through five acquisitions across AI, data and analytics, to create a unified brand strategy that aligned the organisation and gave the market a single, differentiated story.
Creating one brand from five acquisitions
Context
atombit had assembled five complex businesses through acquisition, but the commercial value of those acquisitions had yet to be fully realised because the organisation wasn't yet operating as one business. Together, the five businesses brought exceptional expertise across AI, analytics, CRM and market research. Leadership had a clear ambition to build an AI-native consultancy that could help organisations better understand, predict and enhance human experiences with businesses.
Reframe
The task looked like an integration exercise: five businesses needing one name. We reframed it as a category question. Employees described the business in different ways, customers still engaged with the individual businesses, and there was no clear answer to "What does atombit do?" The opportunity was to create a shared purpose, a differentiated market position and a commercial story that reflected the value of everything the acquisitions had brought together.
Solution
We combined leadership interviews, AI-enhanced customer research, competitor analysis, white space mapping and collaborative strategy workshops with the atombit team to define a new market category and a compelling commercial proposition. Together, we developed a complete brand strategy: vision, value proposition, messaging framework, brand values and tone of voice, giving every employee a consistent answer to "What do we do?"
To make the strategy part of everyday decision-making rather than a static document, we transformed it into an AI-powered Brand Strategy Skill, embedded into the team's AI workflows so employees could create consistent, on-brand content and communications at scale.
Impact
Five complex businesses united behind one shared vision, one commercial proposition and one market story. atombit gained clarity about who it was, confidence in how to communicate it, and a practical AI-embedded system for maintaining consistency as the business continues to grow.
